Everything happens in your own browser.<\/p><\/div><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How does the calculator work?<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The calculator uses an amount per 1,000 followers that differs per type of post: a Reel costs more than a photo, a set of Stories less. The amounts come from international data, such as more than 21,000 completed deals on the Collabstr platform, the rates of Influencer Marketing Hub and Hootsuite, and rate cards of Dutch, Belgian and German agencies.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For video, an amount per 1,000 views works better, because many viewers don&#8217;t follow you: about \u20ac10 to \u20ac35 for short videos and \u20ac15 to \u20ac50 for YouTube. If your engagement rate is much higher or lower than normal for your size, the calculator takes that into account.<\/p><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A rule of thumb you often hear is $100 or \u20ac100 per 10,000 followers for a post. That roughly matches the middle estimate for an Instagram post, but German agencies now call the rule outdated: views, engagement and your topic weigh more.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What do you add on top?<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Usage rights for ads.<\/strong> If the brand wants to use your content in ads, you charge more. In deals on Collabstr, the price with usage rights was 39% higher on average.<\/li><li><strong>Whitelisting or Spark Ads.<\/strong> If the brand advertises through your account, add about 20 to 50%.<\/li><li><strong>Exclusivity.<\/strong> If you can&#8217;t work with competitors for a while, add a surcharge, depending on how big the restriction is.<\/li><li><strong>VAT and agency.<\/strong> The amounts exclude VAT. If you work through an agency, their share comes off.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Negotiating and getting paid<\/h2><p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result is an asking price. Brands often negotiate: on Collabstr they paid about 10% below the asking price on average, and German agencies mention 20 to 30%.
